NEW EZE GROUP SPONSORSHIP DEAL FOR ASTON VILLA FORMER PLAYERS ASSOCIATION
Aston Villa Former Players Association (AVFPA) has been bolstered by a major new sponsorship deal from EZE Group, the leading provider of lifestyle and leisure experiences.
Under the deal EZE Group has become main shirt sponsors of the legendary Aston Villa Old Stars football team and AVFPA’s official business partners for the 2012-2013 football season.
The AVFPA is a non-profit making and fully independent organisation set up to provide care and support for former players and their families in need.
The star studded Aston Villa Old Stars team are currently playing their 53rd consecutive year of fundraising fixtures and have another busy season ahead with operations manager and former player David Norton already preparing for fixtures against WBA Old Stars at Vale Stadium on Sunday (August 12), at Galway United in Ireland on August 18 and at Luton Town FC on August 26.
Off the pitch, the association organises a number of social and community events which not only support former players, but other worthy causes and charities.
Founder and chief executive Neil Rioch said the EZE Group sponsorship would enable the AVFPA to build on its success over the last 18 years.
“We are really grateful for the company’s backing which means the funds we raise from games and other events can go towards supporting former players and other worthy causes in the community,” added Neil.
Dominic O’Reilly, CEO of EZE Group, said that the sponsorship deal was a perfect fit for the company which provides a range of lifestyle and leisure services for customers who sign up for its membership scheme.
“As a leisure company we know a lot of our customers are passionate about football and our new partnership with the AVFPA complements the charity fund-raising we carry out through the EZE Group Foundation. As well as supporting former players we will also be able to promote the range of activities, destinations and pursuits our customers benefit from.”
